Looks like iPad 3 is causing more trouble to the manufacturers than anticipated. It was reported that manufacturer’s were unable to keep up with the massive upgrade from the iPad 2. iPad 3 is said to be twice as fast and included a front and back camera and is super portable. But the display is what is killing the manufacturers. Apple is rumored to be ordering up the highest pixel-packed display ever in a 10 inch tablet!
CNET reported that Asia based supplies have said that the display of the iPad 3 has a resolution of 2048 x 1536! Thats 264 pixels per inch on the iPad’s monster screen. Also it was reported that manufacturers are having major problems making these displays in large quantities. The manufacturing is set to start in November and manufacturers are ramping up because such pixel density has never been done.
It is clear that Apple’s new tablet will surely have Rentina-like display. Apple will also have better cameras with the iPad 3. It is also said to be thinner and lighter than any of its predecessors.
