archos-10-1-android-tabletAnother possible Apple iPad killer? Archos is launching its 10.1 inch Android OS based tablet. The tablet has loads of features and specs that make it a perfect iPad killer. The 10.1 inch screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio. The tablet is built in a metal frame and runs the latest Android 2.2 Froyo.

The pricing is very competitive. Archos priced this Android tablet at $300. While this base model will give you 8GB of memory capacity, the 16GB memory model will cost about $350. Archos released a whole range of models from 2.8 inches to 10.1 inches. 

The 2.8 inch model with 4GB will cost you just $100 bucks while the 3.2 inch model with a 1.3 mega pixel camera costs $150. The 4.3 inch model has 16GB of storage with a microSD slot, a HDMI mini out, a HD video recording and a 2MP still camera running on an 800MHz chip. The 4.3 inch model costs $200.

The 7.0 inch model with 16GB of memory costs $275 while an external hard drive of 250GB would push its price to $350. iPad killer or not, the market will decide but what is attractive is its wide range of screen sizes to choose from and also the affordable prices.
