Microsoft today announced that it will be making the LifeCam HD-5000 and 6000, which come with “True Color” image processing, which enables colour and brightness, even in poor lighting conditions.

The LifeCam HD-5000 has a 720p widescreen HD sensor and autofocus abilities and is designed to clip on to the desktops. It is to cost about $100 and will be available towards the end of June.

While the LifeCam HD-5000 is for the desktops, the LifeCam HD-6000, on the other hand, is designed for laptops with the same 720p HD widescreen sensor and also allows for 360-degree rotation. To be available in May it is to cost about $120.
