First it was the iPad and now Microsoft want to target Kindle and run it down. Microsoft, sometime lastfall, announced a conceptual product directed towards digital journaling and targetting the ever increasing e-book crowd.
Recently, Microsoft came out with a more thorough detail about the concept named the Courier – the name has not been official from Microsoft yet.
The Courier is a digital journal and comes as an extremely portable device, small and light weight to carry around. It is a foldable device weighing little more than a pound and can be folder to a size similar to a 5×7 picture.
It boasts of a touch screen which can be accessed by a pen-based system for writing and blogging. Ebooks are also supported very well and Microsoft intends to take on Amazon’s Kindle head-on with this product. The whole idea of digital journals is pretty new but Microsoft sees it as a trend that will only be adapted faster in the market.
Pricing and release dates have not been released yet but youtube and the internet are abuzz with the news. Lets wait and watch!
