After the acquisition of Palm, many were curious to know if HP was going to pursue its Palm webOS. Today all of them were answered when HP finally unveiled its Pal Pre 2 as well as the WebOS 2.0. Palm Pre 2 will be running WebOS 2.0 effectively to be the first device to run WebOS 2.0. WebOS 2.0 supports multitasking which is a major boost to the OS.
Palm Pre 2 has a nice 3.1 inch HVGA multi touch screen with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution. The phone also has GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and has an internal storage of 16GB. It is also equipped with an accelerometer along with proximity and ambient light sensors.
The Palm Pre 2 runs on a 1GHz processor and sports a 5 mega pixel camera along with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The phone will the WebOS 2.0 will first go on sale in France, Canada, and the US. Palm Pre 2 will launch this Friday in France with releases in other regions in the coming months.
