There is news and rumors flying around that RIM is thinking of kicking its CEOs off the board and limiting their power to do damage to the company.
Unlike other firms, RIM has two CEOs and both are considered to have a lot of power. The board has seen that Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie have too much power. According to Reuters, the plan is to remove them and replace them with a new chairman who can stand up to them.
Shares in the company rose by seven percent as news leaked out that Lazaridis and Balsillie might no longer run RIM.
