ipad sales
ipad salesA milestone reached for the ipad, Apple has sold 1 million iPad’s just after one month on the market.
The number was predicted by analysts earlier but it was a wait and watch game until it was a reality.

CEO Steve Jobs in a press release said, “One million iPads in 28 days – that’s less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone, demand continues to exceed supply”.

While Apple is celebrating its iPad success, Microsoft and HP have returned to the drawing boards re-working on their slate issues and redesigning the whole thing.

Apple also reported tha iPad users hae downloaded qutie a number of apps. Ipad users had downloaded around 12 million apps and about 1.5 million ebooks.

Not surprising as Ipad was specifically targetted to a large crowd of ebook fanatics and went head on against Amazon’s Kindle.

Another Apple analyst Gene Munster estimated that Apple had sold around 300,000 ipad 3Gs over the weekend.

It will be interesting to see how many of the new Iphone 4G’s would Apple be selling in 28 days.
