We all are glad to hear that HTML 5 now has finally got itself an official logo. The logo is quite pleasant and represents the power of the new robust HTML5 platform that has the power to topple big private standard giants such as Adobe Flash.

The HTML 5 logo is open for free use by web developers and designers. It also allows the designers and developers to create their own HTML 5 badges. The logo was designed by Ocupop, a web designing and identity building firm.

According to the W3C forum which developed the HTML 5 logo

“It stands strong and true, resilient and universal as the markup you write. It shines as bright and as bold as the forward-thinking, dedicated web developers you are. It’s the standard’s standard, a pennant for progress. And it certainly doesn’t use tables for layout.”

The HTML 5 logo is being seen as a new face that will eventually edge out expensive platforms such as flash from the web. If you are, like us, fans of HTML 5 you may want get your self a HTML 5 T-shirt or a pair of pajamas. Some T-Shirts have catchy pharses such as, “I have seen the future. It’s in my browser.”

A report released by WHENCANIUSE said that Google Chrome leads with 88 percent of HTML 5 statutes followed by Firefox 4 and Chrome 8 at 87 percent.  Apple’s Safari 5 at 70 percent, Opera 11 at 62 percent, Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox at 53 percent, iOS 4.2 at 51 percent, Opera Mobile at 30 percent and Opera Mini at percent.
