Facebook has reached yet another milestone. Apart from being one of the most visited social websites in the world
Facebook has crossed its 500 million user mark. Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed this in an interview at the Wall Street Journal’s eighth annual “All things digital tech conference”.
How ever Facebook itself is yet to confirm this. Facebook still lists itself at more than 400 million active users while its CEO has talked of crossing 500 million users.
Mark was quoted saying “We went from building a service in a dorm room to running a service that 500 million people use,”. It sure sounds like he was just using it as an expression for the sake of the conversation but CEO’s have seldom been so reckless.
The growth in the numbers of active members for facebook shows that there has been a disregard to the recent critics over Facebook’s privacy policies and its attempts to make it simpler.
