Looks like Google’s headaches with book copyright owners won’t stop it from going ahead from launching an online bookstore. Google is trying to convince the book copyright owners to allow it to offer the right to print books for sale and is still waiting approval or modification by a New York court.
As the e-book market is booming, Google seems to be in no mood to wait. In order to keep up with other companies such as Amazon, Borders and Apple, Google is rumored to working on getting a storefront ready to launch this holiday season. Wall Street Journal said that one of Google’s product manager said that the store will be in operation by the end of the year.
It will be interesting to see Google enter the market.
