hpphotosmartestationHP today unveiled a printer with a detachable 7-inch tablet! The tablet lets the users remotely control the printer along with other features. The new all-in-one printer called the HP Photosmart eStation comes with a detachable touchscreen tablet that lets you access a variety of printer-based apps which lets you manage printing along with other office tasks.

Not just printing but users can access the Barnes and Noble eBookstore with the tablet making it into a eReader. It also comes with the ability to print a hard copy of the ebook if desired. HP worked with Yahoo to provide additional apps for the tablet which include Yahoo Mail, Messenger, Search and weather making into a device for your coffee table.

It also has the HP’s ePrint feature enabled which lets you print from other devices including the iPad, iPod Touch or the iPhone. The printer is set to launch in the UK on September 28 and is said to cost around £250 in the UK while costing $399 in the US.
