Here we go again! Another day and another iPhone 5 rumor. Seriously this might really not be iPhone 5 and actually be iPhone 4GS. But what ever it is, AllThingsD is reporting that Apple has a scheduled media even for Tuesday October 4th and will be headed by the new CEO Tim Cook. The site also reported that Apple “will” unveil the next iPhone.
Now for some time rumors have been circulating that Apple will introduce the phone in September and Apple’s early crooked marketing tactics such as forgetting the new iPhone in a bar are in full swing. However beyond all this, none were able to confirm the iPhone release. AllThingsD was the source that originally started the October date rumor for the iPhone 5 and looks like it might just happen considering how reliable AllThingsD might be.
Now is Steve Jobs going to be in for the event, some reliable sources are reporting that he will be in and surprise the crowd, but last minute changes are often with Apple! Many suggest that he will not do that so he can give Tim Cook his proper status of the CEO without interfering in his business. AllThingsD does speculate that Steve Jobs could come on stage for “One More Thing…” if his health permits.
The iPhone 5 is rumored to have an an A5 processor, 8 megapixel camera, updated display, and differing form factor.
Well we will find more on the 4th won’t we, or wait from another San Francisco bar?!
