This is really cool, would be cooler if it came any smaller but this will do for now! An iPhone case that actually charges your iPhone as well!? Well that’s what Etón has released a new case called the Mobius NSP300B Rechargeable Battery Case for the iPhone 4. It features a 1800 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery, the NSP300B sports a solar pack that will charge your iPhone with the energy it draws from sunlight.

The case was shown off at the CES and this case is something never seen before. It weighs in at 3.4 ounces and includes a Micro USB cable. The power pack features a LED indicator that displays the amount of charge that’s been collected on the solar panel. There is also a charge collector stand by switch that lets you charge the case but not the iPhone battery, just as a backup.

Etón claims that its case will give 25 minutes of talk time, 20 minutes of 3G data usage, 35 minutes of video playback or 145 minutes of audio playback on one hour of solar charge. A fully charged case will provide 5 hours of talk time, 8 hours of 3G data usage and video playback, or 32 hours of audio playback.

Excited and want to buy, well it sure is a little on the expensive side and would cost you about $78. Pick up the Mobius NSP300B for $78 on Amazon.

Now if you drop your phone, the solar panel is built not to break so you are good there. What’s next, an iPad with the solar panel? One thing is for sure, your iPhone will have power for the next 4 billion years!
