Google-TV-teardown-logitech-revueiFixit got busy with the new Logitech Revue which allows you to have Google TV on your regular TV. The tear down was interesting and revealed some interesting facts about Google’s new product. The logitech Revue box has a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor with 1GB DDR3 ram. This is a little faster than the Apple’s 1 Ghz processor for its Apple TV products.

It has 5GB NAND flash storage. The system is so compact leaving quite some room in the box which allows the system to cool down. The internal fan pushes the air along the CPU heat sink. iFixit said that one drawback of the design was that since everything was integrated on the Gigabit motherboard, any failure would result in replacing the entire motherboard.
