Opera today released the final version of its Opera Mobile 10.1 browser for Symbian devices. Most of the Symbian smartphone handsets are supported even the ones that are almost 4 years old! The new mobile browser is loaded with new features that include just-in-time compilation optimization for the Carakan JavaScript engine which was also used in their desktop browser. Opera also claims that this increases the speed nine fold.

It also has a Opera Turbo built in which compresses your website request before sending it back down to you saving you time, money, and battery life. This is especially use ful on edge networks or where there is a weak mobile signal. Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software said, “Opera Mobile 10.1 today brings the best mobile browsing experience to the world’s most popular smartphone platform.”
