Now for an additional $20 per month, Verizon will enable the wireless hotspot feature that Verizon’s iPhone 4 is all set to carry. The $20 per month is in addition to additional data charges. Verizon confirmed this late Tuesday in an interview with Macworld.
This beats the competition where AT&T iPhone owners cannot share their 3G connections with multiple users over WiFi. Verizon’s hotspot plan has a data limitation of 2GB. That means a user cannot pull more than 2GB of data per month for a $20 price that he or she pay. This might be a disappointment for many users since hotspots are primarily used for mobile computing. However Verizon’s $30 unlimited monthly data plan for its iPhone was well greeted by the market.
