htc-hd7Wall Street Journal is reporting that Microsoft’s exclusive launch partner will be AT&T when the phone is released in the next few weeks. WSJ also confirmed previous rumors that the phone will go on sale on November 8 in the US. The platform will be out sooner at an even on October 11.

AT&T is said to ship three different handsets from HTC, LG and Samsung. The news means no Windows phones for T-Mobile subscribers. Microsoft might be using a risky business strategy by picking only AT&T as its provider. This is especially odd given Microsoft’s history of trying to cover the entire market.
