mintpadManufacturers are racing to come up with cool new ideas and a new dual-screen tablet is reportedly is being worked on by Mintpass and is set to be released in the first half of 2011. The dual screen tablet is also said to be dual-boot capable and will boot Android and Windows 7 at the same time. Mintpass said that their new tablet can switch from a tablet to a full-scale laptop without any keyboard attached to it.

The dual-screen laptop uses two screens which unfold like a laptop or can fold back up into a tablet. The tablet will support multi-tasking allowing its users to play video while surfing the net. Another functionality that Mintpass included is the ability to convert one of the screens into a touchscreen keyboard for a full laptop experience.

The tablet will be able to boot two operating systems and is rumored to sell with both Android and Windows OS 7 preloaded. No info about processor, memory and storage were given but speculation is that the tablet will run on a dual core 1GHz processor with at least 1GB of RAM.
