google-chrome-logoGoogle is pretty confident about its Chrome browser. At the fifth annual Pwn2Own competition this year targetted Google Chrome. Their aim is to hack throught the blazing fast browser.

Worth the effort? We think so especially when the pot is worth $20,000 and a CR-48 notebook to whoever has the best method of cracking Chrome. Google is sponsoring the competition which is set to take place at the CanSecWest Applied Security Conference which runs from March 9-11 in Vancouver. Contestants will have 30 minutes to break Chrome.

The event also has some smaller targets as compared to Chrome with their induvidual rewards and prizes. If you think you can do it, better hurry as the pre-registration closes on February 15th.
