Lenovo plans to introduce its LePad worldwide in June this year and will have an early launch in China this March. This will be Lenovo’s first tablet computer which was unveiled in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The device is built with 10.1-inch screen that runs the Android 2.2 OS on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Lenovo said the LePad will be priced between $399 and $449. Overall tablet shipments are expected to reach 54.8 million units in 2011, up 181 percent from the previous year, according to research firm Gartner.

The specs look alright but one would expect dual core tablets at this stage in the game.
