Samsung is coming out with some fast and powerful phones and The Samsung Galaxy W Android phone has already been announced on O2. The phone was first announced by Three UK and now is also coming to O2. The Samsung Galaxy W features a 3.7” capacitive multi-touch display, a 1.4GHz processor and of course a diverse set of connectivity options. It also has a stunning SLCD display, it features a resolution of 480×800 pixels. It can very well be the portable canvas for watching your favourite videos, movies, surfing the web or spending some leisure with your favourite ebook gracing the screen.
The 1.4GHz processor is certainly powerful to let you work, surf or play. Whether you open a complex application or play a rich-graphics game, the experience is expected to be smooth and pleasing. With over 2,50,000 apps on the market to choose from and a powerful processor under the hood, the Galaxy W will never put you short on power to enjoy the apps or the games.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, onboard GPS, and HSDPA support for high-speed internet connectivity. The device has about 4GB of onboard storage which can be expanded to up to 32GB to store your favourite media & access it on the go.
It is powered by a 1500mAh battery. It will be running Google’s Android Gingerbread OS topped with Samsung’s TouchWiz 4.0 interface. Certainly, Social Hub, Media Hub and integrated social networking are also included in the feature set. The device will be available in the UK next month for about €320. However, there’s nary a word on the exact launch date (Samsung Galaxy W UK release) and price at availability.
